Privacy notice

Avanti Comms Ltd is the data controller for the personal information described below. This notice explains what we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do about it.

Information we collect

  • Contact and identity details: name, address, email, telephone number.
  • Service details: postcode and address checks, chosen plan, order and account references.
  • Billing information: payment method status, invoices and payment history. Card details are handled by our payment provider, not stored by us.
  • Support information: tickets, correspondence and fault diagnostics.
  • Accessibility and vulnerability information, only where you choose to share it so we can support you.
  • Website information: essential cookies, plus analytics only where you have consented.

Why we use it

To check availability at your address, provide and bill for your service, meet our regulatory obligations as a communications provider, handle faults and complaints, prevent fraud, and improve our service. Marketing is sent only where you have separately opted in, and you can withdraw that at any time.

Lawful bases

Performance of your contract, compliance with legal obligations, our legitimate interests in running and protecting the service, and your consent for marketing, non-essential cookies and any special category information you provide for support purposes.

Who we share it with

Network and wholesale partners who deliver your connection, address lookup providers, our payment provider, our email and communications providers, and professional advisers or regulators where required. We do not sell personal data.

How long we keep it

Account, contract and billing records are kept for six years after your service ends, to meet accounting and legal requirements. Support records are kept for two years. Complaint records are kept for six years. Marketing preferences are kept until you change them.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, correct it, ask us to delete it where we no longer need it, object to or restrict certain processing, request portability, and withdraw consent. Contact us and we will respond within one month.

Complaining about privacy

Please contact us first so we can put things right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
